I got my father's cataract surgery done with Dr Sushmita Shah. We had a wonderful experience at her clinic with professional staff who are very helpful and made my father feel very comfortable.

On December 31, 2025, I suddenly experienced vision loss in my left eye while I was travelling out of Mumbai. On learning that it was a retinal detachment, we rushed back to Mumbai on January 1, 2026, and had a consultation with Dr. Gaurav Shah at his clinic at 9 p.m. Despite our flight being delayed by several hours, Dr. Shah graciously accommodated us and provided a thorough explanation of my condition until 10 p.m. He promptly scheduled emergency surgery on my left eye the following morning, squeezing me into his busy schedule. The procedure was successfully carried out under his expertise, and I am currently recovering well. My family and I are deeply appreciative of Dr. Shah’s dedication and willingness to go beyond the call of duty, particularly in this case when timely intervention was critical. Dr. Sushmita Shah is very friendly and easily accessible - she briefed about the whole surgery in advance, what precautions to be taken etc. - Gave enough time, addressed all our queries and concerns and got calls after the operation to check if everything is okay - very good pre and post surgery care. She specially came on Sundays despite being a holiday to check the eyes before and after the operation which is very much appreciated. A very competent doctor besides a great person to deal with.
